Ruby Bridges Walk
Thursday, November 14th at 8:30am
This is Oxford's first year participating in the Ruby Bridges Walk to School.
We hope you join us in celebration of this historic moment as we hope to inspire bravery, justice, and compassion.
Families are invited to stay after drop off and join in on the all school walk around campus in honor of Ruby Bridge's heroic and historic walk when she integrated William Frantz Elementary School in New Orleans at only 6 years old! We will have coffee, cider, and doughnuts. In addition, we have special Ruby Bridges swag for students before the walk. Books will be provided to teachers, who will build in time for reflection and education on Ruby Bridges. Ms. Sasamoto has provided some grade level book recommendations.
