As we enter fall, I want to share Oxford’s mission with our learning community.
This year, we are focused on achieving academic excellence through a lens of collaboration and equity. We are definitely on track!
Members all over our community have been coming together to put Oxford students first. Each day, I walk through the hallways and see our teachers partnering with the curricular coaches and our specialists to create a classroom that is responsive.
This week, staff will be looking at student data (both quantitative and qualitative) to create learning goals for each of our students.
Parents are joining in on the collaborative spirit as well. I’ve seen countless volunteers at the school helping out with everything from creating displays to supporting math to pitching in at the cafeteria.
Our PTA was thrilled to see a strong turnout at the first in-person meeting since the pandemic.
Finally, I have had the great joy of unboxing Amazon boxes that have been sent via the Oxford Wishlist. Distributing sought-after items to our teachers has truly warmed my heart.
All of these moments are coming together to ensure that each and every Oxford student has an outstanding education. Thank you all for your support in making it happen. I can’t wait to see how far our students will grow this year!

Thank you to Lara Andrizzi for her hard work prepping the Heritage Month Displays. Each month, teachers will visit the displays and add to them, making connections to the diversified cultures of our school, Berkeley and the world!

Al comenzar el otoño, quiero compartir la misión de Oxford con nuestra comunidad de aprendizaje.
Este año, nos centramos en lograr la excelencia académica a través de una perspectiva de colaboración y equidad. ¡Definitivamente vamos por buen camino!
Miembros de toda nuestra comunidad se han unido para poner a los estudiantes de Oxford en primer lugar. Cada día, camino por los pasillos y veo a nuestros maestros asociándose con los entrenadores curriculares y nuestros especialistas para crear un aula que responda a las necesidades.
Esta semana, el personal analizará los datos de los estudiantes (tanto cuantitativos como cualitativos) para crear objetivos de aprendizaje para cada uno de nuestros estudiantes.
Los padres también se están uniendo al espíritu colaborativo. He visto a innumerables voluntarios en la escuela ayudando con todo, desde crear exhibiciones hasta apoyar las matemáticas y colaborar en la cafetería.
Nuestra Asociación de Padres y Maestros (PTA) estaba encantada de ver una fuerte participación en la primera reunión en persona desde la pandemia.
Finalmente, he tenido la gran alegría de desempaquetar cajas de Amazon que se han enviado a través de la Lista de deseos de Oxford. Distribuir artículos muy solicitados a nuestros maestros realmente me ha conmovido el corazón.
Todos estos momentos se unen para garantizar que todos y cada uno de los estudiantes de Oxford tengan una educación excelente. Gracias a todos por su apoyo para que esto suceda. ¡No puedo esperar a ver cuánto crecerán nuestros estudiantes este año!

Gracias a Lara Andrizzi por su arduo trabajo preparando las exhibiciones del Mes del Patrimonio. Cada mes, los maestros visitarán las exhibiciones y las completarán, creando conexiones con las culturas diversificadas de nuestra escuela, Berkeley y el mundo.
