I am in search of someone who wants to be involved this school year as either a PTA Co-President, Vice President or at a minimum for a few months in 2015, who is then willing to take on the Presidency the following school year. It will be much easier to pass on institutional knowledge if someone is more closely involved before they jump into Presidency. Please let me know if you have any questions.
The first PTA meeting is on Wednesday, September 17th from 6:30–8:00 pm. We will cover our planned events for the year and our 2014/15 fundraising goals. Please bring a dish to share. Childcare will be provided.
Join us for our Welcome Back Potluck on Friday, September 19th from 6:00–8:00 pm in the upper play yard. Please bring a favorite dish or one which represents your heritage. It will be a fun evening catching up with old and new friends.
Please take a moment to log in to Pencil to update your profile, as it serves as our school directory. All of the Fall events have been loaded into Pencil, so please take a moment to check them out. Volunteer needs will be added to the events and you will be able to volunteer via Pencil easily from your smart phone or computer. You will be receiving an email invitation from the Room Parent for your child(ren)’s class to join that specific classroom.
Take time to renew your annual PTA membership. Memberships are $15/person and include a T-shirt and discounts to places like Legoland, California Academy of Sciences, Comcast, Staples and more (we will be sending electronic cards to members). Everyone is welcome at PTA meetings, you DO NOT have to be a member to come to PTA meetings but PTA members DO have voting rights at PTA meetings.
