The Oxford E-Tree - Important school information delivered to your email inbox!
The Oxford Email Tree, or "E-Tree", serves the online Oxford Elementary Community.
Although this doesn't reach all of our families, it is another way to share
important school related information, such as reminders
of school related meetings and events. Typically we have
had about one email per week sent out to this list.
NOTE that you must subscribe and unsubscribe yourself!
It's easy to use the e-Tree email list:
To send a message to everyone on the list, simply send an email to everyone@oxfordelementary.org.
NOTE: You must be a member of the e-Tree list in order to send a message to the list.
This is to prevent spam. We are also working on putting in place a moderator for the list later this year.
e-Tree Guidelines:
Many parents and families sign up using a work or other sensitive email address,
since this is where they can most easily receive email. It is important to be respectful
of others' email inboxes when sending messages to the e-Tree. Here are some guidelines,
as suggested by parents:
Make sure our email is related to the school or to our Oxford Community.
Use words in the Subject Line so recipients know right away that it's from the e-Tree (and not spam!). For example, you could start the subject line with, "Oxford:...", or "Oxford e-Tree:...".
Introduce yourself and why you are emailing (unless you are someone well known - like Principal Levenson!), since there are many e-Tree members who won't know you.
Keep it brief - you are reaching many people at work.
If you want to respond to an e-Tree email, please reply only to the sender, unless your response is for the whole e-Tree community.
If you received an email from the e-Tree that you are concerned about, you can forward it to oxfordpta@yahoo.com or let the Principal know.
